Dan Goldberg | Behind-the-Scenes with Cracker Barrel

Wednesday, July 17th, 2013

There’s never a dull moment at Dan Goldberg Photography – and the latest Cracker Barrel shoot with Havas Worldwide was no exception.  We’ve got some great behind-the-scenes photos of our shoot to share.  Not only were we able to get some beautiful shots of the food (yum!), we were able to enjoy some laughs over ping pong and plenty of champagne!

And who doesn’t love our furry friend, a.k.a., our prop stylist assistant, Lucy!  She was on set to lend a hand and cuddle with us all week.

Tim Tadder for Purina

Thursday, June 6th, 2013

Tim Tadder might be best known for his arresting sports imagery, but with his recent work for Colle McVoy and Purina, you can see that he’s not just all about the hero shot.  Or at least, not just all about the sports hero.  We’ve got some behind the scenes shots of the Purina project which aimed to show that kittens and puppies can be heroes too.  We can’t wait to see the final ads!

All in for a road trip with JanSport & A. Reilly

Thursday, April 25th, 2013

1,758 miles, 15 crew and talent, 10 days, 4 states, and 3 RVs equals 1 amazing production for JanSport by Andrew Reilly.

With some of the “talent” none other than The Stone Foxes, Andrew, the agency, client and crew hit the road in San Francisco and made their way down the Pacific Coast Highway for an epic road trip – stopping for shows, impromptu antiquing, exploring the White Sands of New Mexico and general tomfoolery.  They wrapped things up at SXSW after stops in Los Angeles, Santa Barbara, San Diego, Phoenix and Marfa.

With a group that’s known for rocking out, it’s no wonder that these images and ads capture the fun of the brand AND the band so effortlessly.

Walter Smith for Forbes

Tuesday, January 22nd, 2013

We already shared the beautiful images that Walter shot for Forbes for their second annual “30 under 30” issue, but we really thought that the talent on the cover deserved his own post. David Karp is the creator of Tumblr, a platform that we here at Emissary use to keep up on inspiration, creative & current events and maybe even for our daily dose of french bulldog cuteness.

Walter shot David for the cover and opening story in New York – both David & Walter’s homebase – and we think he beautifully captured Karp’s minimal aesthetic. Simple, personal shots within the backdrop of what Karp calls “the most creative city in the world.” Stunning photos to accompany a thoroughly interesting profile on one of the “30 under 30.” You can check out the full profile of David Karp on Forbes.com right here. Great job, Walter!

“30 under 30” with Walter Smith and Forbes

Monday, January 7th, 2013

When Forbes wanted to glam up 30 of the brightest and best young adults in the nation, they knew Walter Smith would be the perfect man for the job! In December, Walter had the opportunity to work with the hand-picked list of up and comers for the feature shoot of the Forbes issue of “30 Under 30.” Included in the list are scientists, entrepreneurs, celebrities and sports stars (among others), all of whom have had an impact in their respective fields this year. This is only the second year for the list, but if last year is any indication, we won’t be forgetting the faces below any time soon.

In addition to the beautiful images, Forbes put together a behind the scenes video for the black tie photo shoot. Check it out right here and view the full profiles of the “30 Under 30” right here.

Great work, Walter!!
