Michael Cogliantry for Avanti Press

Friday, June 29th, 2012

There you are, sitting at your desk on a Friday afternoon, watching the clock with an eagle eye and counting down the minutes until your weekend begins. Then you make the best decision you’ll made all day – you mosey on over to see what the Emissary Artists have been up to lately. And you are presented with these images Michael Cogliantry shot for Avanti Press: Silly, fun images that lighten your heart to a weekend mood; nary a one that wouldn’t inspire the next great internet meme. Now go off and enjoy the rest of your day and have a happy weekend!

Spreading the creative love

Thursday, June 21st, 2012

We love Mike Perry’s art project on Kickstarter: Wondering Around Wandering. He’s hoping to fund a 3 month free community exhibition in his Brooklyn neighborhood to showcase his art, hold workshops and bring the community together through the interaction and enjoyment of artwork. That’s definitely something we can get behind. Find out more about his project on Kickstarter right here. Good luck Mike!

WS CocaCola AR

They’ve been known as “The Pause that Refreshes” and “The Real Thing.” In their 125 year history, the Coca-Cola Company has been selling moments of happiness all the world over and our Emissary Artist, Walter Smith, had the opportunity to photograph these joyful moments for the company’s 2011 Annual Review.  Whether it be India or Indiana, Walter has done a wonderful job of capturing the global identity of the brand. Take a look at Walter’s work on the annual report here.  Great job, Walter!

Congrats to our friend Alisa Wolfson of Leo Burnett!

Wednesday, June 6th, 2012

We wanted to give our friend Alisa a little love for being named one of Ad Age’s “Woman to Watch” this week. Way back when, Alisa and Christopher worked together at VSA Partners in Chicago and its no surprise to us that she’s made such an impact at Leo Burnett. Through her curation of the Dept of Design, they have grown from 5 to 20 in-house designers in less than 2 years. Check out this great video where she details what she & the Dept of Design team have been up to lately and read the article here. Congratulations Alisa!!
