One week. One photo.

What started as a push to get some prints out the door during the holiday season has now turned into a yearlong project for our Emissary Artist, Emiliano Granado. We caught up with him this week to find out more about his new project.

EA: Hey, EG! We’re loving your new project – congrats on selling out of the first week’s print! Can you tell us a little more about it?
EG: Thanks! Sure, happy to help.

EA: What was the inspiration to start this project?
EG: I did a giveaway of some of my prints during the holidays and got a lot of response from it, so I figured that people want prints…  It feels good to get prints up on people’s walls. It also really forces me to stay current in my work and I also get to potentially dig up some old gems.

EA: How do you choose the photo?
EG: Choosing the photo is the hardest part. I’m still working on whether I am going to choose based on a theme or at random. January has a theme… for now. Guess we’ll see how it goes. Part of the fun is digging up some old photos that no one has seen, but I’m not opposed to using newer ones either.

EA: Will this be a continuing project?
EG: Not sure. Hopefully I can segue this energy into finally getting around to printing some zines/books that I’ve been waiting to work on for awhile.

52 weeks. 52 photos. We can’t wait to see what the year brings. Thanks for sharing your project with us, Emiliano!
Check out and set your alarm each week – we’re thinking these prints will be selling out quickly!
