For the past few years Dan Goldberg has been shooting an ongoing project with Sterling Rice Group for The Almond Board of California. He always does a wonderful job capturing the beauty of the almond orchards in all four seasons. Here are a few images from his most recent trip shooting the dormant season. Great job, Dan!

A triple digit birthday calls for one heck of a celebration!
A few years ago our Emissary Artist,
Michael Clinard, photographed Hilda Evelyn Kottman for a cover story in Seattle Weekly. This year she turned 103 and to celebrate, she and her grandson dedicated an afternoon to gambling, all-you-can-eat crab, and tattoos! Her birthday celebration became an all out internet sensation after the images were posted on
Reddit and included in the section, “Ask Me Anything,” and has since been featured on various websites such as the
Daily Mail and many others.
One of the main images being used is a stunning shot of Evelyn sitting proud amidst her impressive pickling collection, taken by Michael after their Seattle Weekly shoot. We think Michael did a beautiful job of capturing her carefree attitude and love that her story has brought a smile to so many people around the world. Imagine what birthday #104 will bring!
